Director changes at Clipper Logistics

Leeds-based retail specialist Clipper Logistics has made changes to its top tables.
Non-executive director Paul Hampden Smith has stepped down with immediate effect as he pursues other business interests. He is also a non-executive director at Bellway, Pendragon, Cumberland Lodge and Grafton plc.
He has been with Clipper Logistics as an NED since May 2014. Similarly incoming senior independent director Ron Series, who will take over Hampden Smith’s spot, has been with the business since its IPO in 2014. Series is also an adviser to the board of law firm Slater & Gordon in Melbourne, and specialises in restructuring.
Clipper’s board said it remains balanced between executive and non-executive directors, after the retirement of Sean Fahey in March 2017.
Steve Parkin, executive chairman of Clipper, said: “The board extends its gratitude to Paul for his significant contribution since the company’s initial public offering and wish him well in his future endeavours. We are delighted that Ron has agreed to take over as our senior independent director and we look forward to working together.”
