Architecture, engineering and construction giant AECOM has renewed its lease on its city centre offices in York in a move that cements t

The firm had considered options for out of town premises but instead renewed the lease on its 6,000 sq ft offices at 16 Toft Green in York, signing a five year lease.

Based in Los Angeles, AECOM are a Fortune 500 company with around 87,500 employees across the globe and a turnover of US$17.4bn for 2016. The company employs 25 people in York.

Bruce Edmondson of Cushman & Wakefield who represented the company in the deal commented: “Good quality office space is hard to come by within York city centre and AECOM are pleased to have agreed the deal in place. They are now looking to sublet the 1,286 sq ft penthouse suite within the building which we expect will be well received by the market.”
