Brasserie The Ivy to create more than 100 jobs in Harrogate

The Ivy is creating 125 jobs with the launch of its Harrogate brasserie, which was revealed earlier this year.

The well-known eatery has also revealed it will open its Harrogate site in November, at 7-9 Parliament Street, formerly the Edinburgh Woollen Mill.

The historic building in the centre of the town is currently undergoing refurbishment.

It will have approximately 135 covers inside and 48 al fresco on the garden roof terrace.

The brasserie will be overseen by group chef director and local Yorkshire man, Mark Askew. It has already announced sites in York and Leeds as it continues its aggressive growth strategy.

Rodney Prosper, general manager of The Ivy Harrogate said: “We’re delighted to have chosen Harrogate as one of the very first Ivy Collection establishments outside of London.

“This location was handpicked and we are committed to investing in the Harrogate community with the employment of 125 people. We can’t wait to serve our classic British menu to guests.”
