Upcoming property lunch will focus on growth of Leeds city centre

Richard Lewis has also announced his retirement

The growth of Leeds city centre will be one of the topics covered by Richard Lewis at TheBusinessDesk.com’s property professional lunch later this month.

Lewis, the group property director of Town Centre Securities, will speak about the Whitehall development and the wider growth of Leeds city centre at the event on Friday 29 September, from noon-3pm at Bibis on Sovereign Street, Leeds.

He joined the company in April 2000 to initially rejuvenate the development side of the business, progressing to board level in 2001 as development director and taking on the role of property director in 2008.

A great believer in public/private partnerships, Richard has been one of the founding members of both the Piccadilly Partnership in Manchester, and now sits on the CityCo board and is a former member of the Property Forum in Leeds, playing a significant role in establishing the first Leeds BID.

Predominately a retail investor, Town Centre Securities has a property portfolio of around £350m which is mainly located in Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London suburbs.

Richard was awarded a lifetime achievement award at the Leeds Property Awards in 2016 for his contribution to regeneration in the city and is actively involved in a number of charities including LionHeart, the support group for RICS members and their families where he is Chairman of the Trustees.

Places are £40 each, which includes a welcome drink and two-course meal.
