Logistics company reaffirms growth plans with construction of 40,000 sq ft warehouse

Logistics firm The Eldred Group, which already has three sites covering 350, 000 sq ft over the Yorkshire region, is building a 40,000 sq ft automated warehouse in Doncaster.
The major investment will provide space for 7000 pallets at the site in Hexthorpe.
Martin Eldred, managing director of Eldred Group, said: “We are pleased to be announcing our further investment in Doncaster following a successful start to 2017.
“We’ve seen our exports into Europe increase by 25% over the last 12 months and thanks to an increase in direct online sales we have seen a real growth in our business.
“Our growth has been rapid and we’ve had to rent warehouse space outside of the area but we are now in a position to build our own additional space and bring this work back into the South Yorkshire economy.”
He added: “Our diverse offering is all about making challenges easier for organisations across the globe. We offer storage, distribution, agricultural and e-commerce solutions where we produce bespoke warehousing facilities and storage solutions for manufacturers, importers and exporters throughout the world.
“We are expanding to meet demand and this will benefit the town from which we operate. Our workforce is local and we wherever possible we train and promote from within.”
