Traffic Alert: Road closures in place on M62/M1

There are road closures in place this morning at the Lofthouse Interchange where the M1 (J42) and M62 (J29) connect just south of Leeds due to on-going emergency roadworks.

The routes affected are the M1 northbound link to the M62 eastbound and the M62 eastbound link to the M1 southbound. These road closures are expected to remain in place through this morning’s peak.

Traffic approaching the closure for both routes are advised to travel northbound onto the M621 motorway to J7, to then return back to the Lofthouse Interchange where links road to the intended routes are open to traffic.
