Global engineering firm signs for Leeds business park

Global engineering consultancy GHD has re-located its Leeds office to Lawnswood Business Park, taking 6,304 sq ft within Alexandra House.

GHD operates in the global markets of water, energy and resources, environment, property and buildings, and transportation and provides engineering, environmental and advisory services to private and public sector clients.

Canmoor, the asset managers of Lawnswood, has been carrying out improvements to the site, which include a phased refurbishment scheme. In addition they say they are about to secure a well-known gourmet coffee operator to the site.

Daniel Austin, asset manager of Canmoor, said: “This is a very exciting time to be involved in North Leeds Premier Business Park. The recent completion of phase 1 of a 3 part programme has helped us secure global businesses such as GHD. We are delighted to welcome GHD to Lawnswood Business Park and their decision to locate here reflects the quality of space that we have to offer and the ongoing improvements we are undertaking at the park.”

Lawnswood is home to HMRC, Bupa, Brenntag, Aramark and BHP Accountants.

Duncan Senior, partner at WSB said: “Lawnswood offers some of the highest quality office space available in north Leeds and the success we have seen with recent lettings underlines the appeal to occupiers of being located in this convenient position on the Leeds outer ring road.”

WSB Property Consultants and JLL brokered the deal and are the agents for the scheme.
