Meadowhall is lighting up its central dome in a rainbow of colours to support a host of good causes this month.

The Sheffield shopping centre’s dome turned purple on November 1 for in support of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, and November 11 will see the dome turn red to commemorate Armistice Day.

On November 12, the dome will remain red in homage to fallen soldiers for Remembrance Day, while the 17th will see Meadowhall lit up in Pudsey Bear yellow in support of Children in Need.

Meadowhall Centre director Darren Pearce said: “You can see the Centre’s main dome from miles away and it’s a well-known landmark for drivers on the M1. We thought what better way to show our support than to light up the Centre’s iconic dome.

“It’s a very visual message of support and also ties in to the work our retailers and staff carry out for a host of charitable and awareness days.”
