Star Wars: The force is strong at The Light

The arrival of the new Star Wars movie is highly anticipated and to celebrate the sequel, The Light is working with Vue Cinemas to host a Star Wars themed takeover.

Across the opening weekend of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, this Saturday and Sunday, The Light will be home to 50 Storm Troopers all part of the Sentinel Squad.

The not-for-profit costume organisation will be raising money for this year’s chosen charity, Magic Moments for Autistic Kids, through bucket collections.

The Star Wars themed take-over will also transform the cinema lift into a command centre.

Any photos taken in the command centre and shared on Twitter tagging @thelightleeds will be automatically entered into a competition to win a meal for two at Estabulo and complementary cinema tickers for a future film of choice.

Those who wish to make the most of the costume opportunity and turn up in fancy dress will be entered into a best-dressed competition, with the crowned winner taking home a £40 Turtle Bay voucher to enjoy a meal from the Caribbean experts.
