Refurbishment complete at historic riverside warehouse building
A refurbishment of riverside warehouse building, Calls Landing, in Leeds has been completed.
King and Co. instructed Harrogate based Absolute Commercial Interiors to undertake the work, which includes a new entrance, exterior changes and an internal re-fit.
“This is a once in a lifetime project. A chance to work on an historic riverside warehouse in the centre of Leeds won’t come around again. The opportunity doesn’t exist. The completed scheme now offers a unique product,” said King and Co.
The six-month project was led by Phil Brown, managing director at Absolute Commercial Interiors. Brown said: “The external works package includes a complete refurbishment of the building fabric as well as creating a new contemporary entrance to the office suites designed by one of the building’s tenants – Nick Brown Architects.”
Internally, the common areas have been refreshed and office suites have been completed on a floor by floor basis to provide studio space aimed at the creative and tech sectors.
Brown added: “This was a sensitive project with a complexity of issues that only comes with working on heritage assets and it;s good to showcase the quality of work that Absolute produces and our ability to meet those challenges. This refurbishment has given this iconic building a new lease of life and we are thrilled with the results.”
Agents Steven Jones at Eddisons and WSB are leasing the vacant space.
