Business Masters judge urges companies to celebrate their success

The Master Cutler of Sheffield Ken Cooke, a member of the judging panel for this year’s Business Masters Awards, has urged companies to enter as the deadline creeps closer.

Cooke, a former steel business owner and Sheffield Wednesday board member, was installed into his position of Master Cutler in October.

He said: “I am really looking forward to being on the Business Masters Awards judging panel. It will be great opportunity to take a look at the many varying businesses we have across Yorkshire and celebrate their achievements.”

This year’s awards evening will be held on Thursday 26 April, at The Queens Hotel in Leeds.

There are 12 awards – 11 for companies and one individual award – enabling every company to enter.

The categories are:
Business Master in Newcomer
Business Master in Innovation
Business Master in International Trade
Business Master in Fast Growth Business
Business Master in Investment
Business Master in Contributing to the Community
Business Master in Professional Services
Business Master in Business Turnaround
Business Master in Small Business (up to 50 employees)
Business Master in Medium Business (51 to 250 employees)
Business Master in Large Business (251+ employees)
Business Master in Ambassador of the Year

Entries are now open – click here for an entry form. Five entries for each award category will be shortlisted, with the winners being announced on the evening.

The headline sponsor for this year’s event is Hitachi Capital. Awards sponsors are Clarion, Rahman Ravelli Solicitors and Together Money. Drinks are sponsored by Network Marketing and the Toast Sponsor is Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery.

The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday, 2nd February 2018.
