22 regional stores under threat as two major retailers enter administration

Twenty-two stores across Yorkshire and the Humber are at risk of closure after two major retailers collapsed into administration today.
Rescue talks at both Toys R Us and Maplin have failed, although both businesses will continue to trade for the immediate future.
Maplin has 16 stores across Yorkshire and Humber – three stores in Sheffield, two stories in Leeds and one store in Barnsley, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Hull, Harrogate, Grimsby, Rotherham, Scunthorpe, York and Wakefield.
The Rotherham-headquartered firm is owned by Rutland Partners and has more than 200 stores and 2,500 staff across the UK.
Toys R Us employs 3,000 people across 105 stores across the UK; with seven in Yorkshire and the Humber: Bradford, Batley, Wakefield, Doncaster, York, Sheffield and Hull.
