Developer sells Ilkley office scheme in multi-million pound deal
Leeds property developer Oakapple Group has sold its Ilkley office scheme in a £5.9m deal.
The development was the first speculative office scheme to have been undertaken in Ilkley for a significant period of time and pent up demand saw the building fully pre-let within a month of construction starting on site.
The property has been purchased by the Charities Property Fund.
Oakapple Group chairman Philip Taylor said: “We are delighted with the successful outcome of the project and vindication of our belief we were delivering a much needed product in a strong location.”
Richard Watson of Colliers International handled the sale.
He added: “Colliers International are delighted to have been associated with Oakapple in this project from its initial inception through to completion and sale.
“Oakapple delivered a Grade A office building in Ilkley and was proved correct with its decision to start at risk, capturing early quality pre-lets and a sale to a substantial property fund.”
Legal work on both the sale and lettings was handled by Schofield Sweeney’s Leeds office.
