Engineering and manufacturing recruiter marks milestone with major growth plans

An engineering and manufacturing recruitment firm has marked five years in business with plans to boost turnover to £23.5m by 2023.

E3R, which has its head office in Huddersfield and a South Yorkshire office in Rotherham, counts Siemens, David Brown Santasalo, Morrisons and Ibstock among its client list.

The £8m turnover business, which employs 24 people and was formed when four competing recruiters – Tracie Norton, Andrew Pilling, James Soden and Andrew Joseph – joined forces, said that its strategy for include its continued focus on its specialist sectors and working in partnership with industry bodies.

Pilling said: “We have been very fortunate to win a number of key contracts providing recruitment solutions for some multinational clients. In addition, our strong working relationships with a loyal customer base means the agency has a strong market presence which we want to build on.

“According to recruitment industry body REC, employment will continue to grow in 2018, but the rate of growth is predicted to be slower over the next three years. We have weathered difficult times before, but this is why we need to differentiate our offering, which is why E3R continues to champion a sector approach.”
