Weekender: Roxy Ballroom to open 7th venue

Roxy Ball Room is to opens its third Leeds based bar on Merrion Street following a £400,000 renovation of the building it acquired.

Opening in the site formerly occupied by Bar Soba, the new addition will create 20 new jobs within the Roxy Leisure group.

The downstairs area has been transformed into a beer pong and upstairs will have three shuffleboards, three ping pong tables, three American pool tables and an arcade basketball game.

The sporting venue will serve up Roxy’s signature menu of American food and beer lovers can choose from a draught and bottled lagers, beers and specialist craft ales from around the world

The latest bar is the 7th Roxy Ball Room, with venues in Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Huddersfield and Roxy Lanes all enjoying success in recent years.

Operations Director John Crowe said: “We like to think that we know how to throw a good party! Having this additional Roxy Ball Room site as well as Roxy Lanes in Leeds means that we can cater for a lot more guests. We are hugely looking forward to getting it open now.”
