Cosmetic surgery business sold in pre-pack deal

A skin surgery business which also sold cosmetic products online has been sold by administrators in a pre-pack deal.

Howard Smith and Richard Philpott from KPMG’s restructuring practice were appointed joint administrators to GSD Realisations, formerly Good Skin Days Ltd, and Good Skin Days Online, on May 24.

The company operated two clinics in Guiseley and Harrogate specialising in skin surgery and cosmetic skin treatments, in addition to operating an online shop selling cosmetic products.

Immediately following the appointment of administrators, the business and its assets were sold to a connected limited company called Hamsard 3487.

All 16 employees have transferred to the new company.

Howard Smith, associate partner at KPMG, said:  “The business had recently undergone a period of management change which created significant trading uncertainty. Following a marketing process, we are pleased to have been able to conclude a sale of the business, preserving all jobs and providing continuity for customers.

“We understand that the purchaser is now looking to grow the business.”
