Property People: Eddisons boosts Leeds office with new recruits and promotion; Carter Jonas expands rural team

Property consultant Eddisons has expanded its Leeds head office with two appointments and an associate director-level promotion.
Chartered surveyor Ed Hine has been recruited to the valuation team as a director, joining the firm from Sanderson Weatherall, where he spent six years in the Yorkshire and Midlands valuation team.
Hine is experienced in valuing all types of residential and commercial assets for secured lending purposes.
Also in the valuation team, Jack Hutchinson has been promoted to associate director. He joined Eddisons in 2014 and is a chartered surveyor with a degree in business property management from Sheffield Hallam University. He also chairs the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Yorkshire networking and support group for students and trainees.
Chris Nettleton is the latest recruit in Eddisons’ growing building and project consultancy division. He carried out a year’s industrial placement with the firm while studying for a degree in building surveying at Leeds Beckett University and has now come on board as a full-time member of staff.
Eddisons managing director, Richard Roe, said: “Eddisons has seen continual growth over the last year and we’re really pleased to be welcoming new members of staff as well as congratulating Jack on his promotion.
“Both valuations and building and project consultancy teams are surging ahead with significant new business wins, such as our work with academy trusts, which in May secured £15m of new building and improvement projects for schools across the UK.
“We have also recently secured panel places on prominent national frameworks and Ed Hine’s appointment will undoubtedly help to strengthen our team as we continue to make a series of key new hires over the coming months.”

Carter Jonas has expanded its rural team across the country with the appointment of Adrian Cawood as a consultant and Andrew Chandler and Stephen Hall as partner.
Cawood started his career at Carter Jonas and returns to the firm from AMC, where he spent 22 years.
He has been involved in finance for over thirty six years, seeing through successful investment projects on numerous farms and estates. Most recently he was AMC’s regional agricultural manager for Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
Cawood is based in York and in his new role will use his significant experience advising businesses on major capital investment projects.
Andrew Fallows, head of rural agency, Carter Jonas, said: “As the government negotiates the UK’s exit from the EU, the rural sector is currently faced with many questions and few answers. In this climate, it is vital that we continue to provide our clients with the very best advice and in particular to keep them informed about new opportunities as they emerge.
“It is a pleasure to have Adrian back in the fold and welcome Andrew and Stephen to our partnership. Each has an exceptional track record within their specialist field and will work with teams across the Carter Jonas network to support our ambitious plans for growth as we continue to meet the evolving needs of our clients at this crucial time.”
