SME in Brief: BNI sets sights on Wakefield; Licensing agreement hits right notes and more

dealsBusiness Network International (BNI) has announced it will be investing in Wakefield in a bid to boost employment, business and economic wealth.

BNI has highlighted Wakefield as an area with business growth potential and will launch one of its new lunchtime networking groups in the town.

BNI assistant director Ian Kirk said: “Choosing Wakefield as the next big place was obvious. A lunchtime group will thrive and grow because the area is so rich in opportunity.

“There is already diversity in industries and expertise so by providing a forum where these companies can mix and proactively generate more business and profit is an ideal recipe for success.  I am aiming to get 45 of the best businesses in the area together so they can generate additional sales in excess of £2.5m.”
