First time buyer completes acquisition of £900,000 dental practice

Oakwood Dental Practice, a mixed income dental practice in Leeds, has been acquired old off a guide price of £900,000.

Located on the edge of the city centre, the practice comprises three fully fitted and modern surgeries.

The practice offers a range of treatments including implants, and is located in a mixed commercial and residential area, ideal for generating both NHS and private patients.

Previous owner and principal, Tawfiqur Rahman acquired the practice in partnership in 2009 and became the sole principal in 2012.

Christie & Co, the specialist business property adviser completed the sale of the practice.

Dr Rahman said: “I am delighted to achieve a successful sale of my practice and leave it in excellent hands going forward.

“I am thankful to Christie & Co for achieving a good price and to Jonathan Watson, in particular, who worked with me for a few years helping me to prepare for sale.”

The practice has been acquired by Barbie Devall, a first time buyer from the local area. Devall said: “I am really excited to have become the owner of Oakwood Dental Practice and am looking forward to working with the excellent team here.”

Jonathan Watson, associate director at Christie & Co who handled the sale, added: “Oakwood Dental Practice was sold within a week of being brought to the market due to the practice’s excellent location, with demographics ideal for a mixed practice of this nature.
