Care home development to create 50 new jobs
A brand new residential and dementia care home in Wetherby is set to create around 50 new jobs.
Windsor Court, which is due to open early next year, comprises 66 beds spread across two floors.
LNT Care Developments began construction work at the home on Sandbeck Way earlier this year.
Paula Mountjoy, home manager of Windsor Court, is overseeing all recruitment including Deputy Managers, Care Assistants, the Kitchen Team, domestic, hospitality and administration staff.
Mountjoy has been employed by Ideal Carehomes, which will operate Windsor Court, for nearly eight years.
Mountjoy said: “It is so exciting to be with Windsor Court right from the start and to be recruiting our caring staff team. I am extremely keen to promote care as a positive career choice with plenty of progression for the right people.
“I am regularly visiting our new home to keep an eye on the progress and I have actually been inside for the first time this week which was brilliant! We will have an amazing building to work in so once I have my full staff team, everything will be in place to provide a great place to live for our future residents.”
Sarah Colling, Ideal Carehomes’ head of HR, is assisting Mountjoy with the recruitment drive.
