Growing tech firm opens new city centre office

A hospitality-focused technology firm has opened a new city centre office at Hull’s £7m multi-functional workspace complex, K2.

Tevalis opened the new office at K2 in September following a complete refurbishment and refit programme.

Based on the 11th floor, the new space houses the company’s sales, marketing, accounts and account management teams.

Tevalis, which offers hospitality-focused point of sale and management technology, employs 70 people in Hull. The firm’s team in the city is split across the new offices in K2, and its original premises on Alfred Gelder Street.

In addition, Tevalis also has another 35 London office and field-based staff.

James Cook, managing director of Tevalis, said: “Our company is growing fast, and we needed additional space in the city. We wanted separate offices, to provide additional security in terms of business continuity. After exploring a wide range of different options, K2 provided the best option by far.

“The central location is convenient, the views over the city are absolutely stunning, and the space is perfect for our business. We’ve created a cool, contemporary and positive environment where our team can flourish, and the roof terrace and sky garden on-site provides opportunities for flexible working.

“Another key benefit to K2 is the on-site apartments – we’re investing in some to provide dedicated accommodation for our London teams to use when they come up to Hull.”

Lucy Rose, centre manager at K2, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Tevalis Ltd to K2. We’ve worked closely with the team, along with interior architects Red Frog Design, to create a fantastic space to deliver exactly what they need to grow and develop the business.”

The company works with major national hospitality businesses including Jamie’s Italian and Village Hotels, as well as flagship leisure organisations including St. Andrews Links and Birmingham City Football Club.
