Hotel undergoes £1.3m re-development works

Starboard Hotels, a family owned hotel owner/operators of franchised hotels in the UK, has revealed a £1.3m re-development of  its Leeds property, the Holiday Inn Express.

The 130-bedroomed hotel, next to Leeds Armouries, remained fully operational throughout the refurbishment programme which has resulted in upgrades to all bedrooms, conference facilities and the public areas.

General Manager Richard McKie, said: “We are really proud to welcome guests to our hotel and the feedback on the hotel’s new look has been extremely positive. The project enabled us to use many local suppliers and contractors to carry out the work. Our guests love the ambience and appreciate the ability to be able to relax, meet friends or business colleagues in a welcoming environment so close to the city centre.”

The upgrade programme brings hotel in-line with the latest Generation X brand standards for Holiday Inn Express franchised hotels. Starboard own and operate the hotel under licence from global brand, IHG, Intercontinental Hotels Group.
