Accident and repair business invests £700,000 in new 12,000 sq ft facility

A family-run accident and repair business is continuing to expand with the opening of a third site in Sheffield following an investment of more than £700,000.

Turners Garage has opened the new 12,000 sq ft facility, which features brand new equipment and two new commercial spray booths.

Located just off junction 31 off the M1, the Sheffield site is the third Turners branch to open, following its flagship Selby facility, and Doncaster site which opened in March 2018.

The on-site team alongside managing director, Stuart Turner, have already secured approvals and volume from a number of work providers.

Turner said: “We are extremely pleased with the support and commitment from the new team and look forward to the future working together. Sheffield is our second new site within 10 months and we have worked again with Blacks Solicitors to secure the building.

“We are focused on maintaining the values and respect our family business has been built on. All of our team members are key to the success of the company.”

Jennifer Roberts, an associate solicitor in the commercial property team at Blacks Solicitors, facilitated the lease of the industrial unit.

She added: “This was a brilliant opportunity for us to be involved in as the deal specifically required industrial occupier knowledge, which is an area the team specialises in.

“This is the second unit we have facilitated for the business in the last year and we were delighted to be able to help Turners Garage once again.”

Jake Pygall of Avison Young was instrumental in advising Turners Garage on both transactions, sourcing and acquiring both leases on behalf of Turners Garage.

Pygall said: “Another fantastic result, Turners Garage is a business that is going from strength to strength with ambitious growth plans.  It has been a pleasure working alongside Stuart and the team in order to help facilitate this growth and advise on the suitability of potential units and locations. I look forward to working with Turners again in the near future.”
