Sale completed of 3.25-acre residential site in North Yorkshire

A 3.25-acre residential development site in Markington, North Yorkshire, has been acquired.

Formerly High Mill Farm, the site is situated centrally within Markington directly south of the High Street.

Property consultancy Carter Jonas sold the development site to housebuilder Mulgrave Properties on behalf of the landowner and promoter, KCS Developments.

Carter Jonas and KCS sought planning permission for 25 dwellings before taking the site to the market.

Markington is a village in the Harrogate District of North Yorkshire, and located 6.5 miles north of Harrogate and five miles from Ripon.

Dan Sherwood, associate partner Carter Jonas, said: “The site is a prime development opportunity in a well-located village within the commuter belt of Harrogate, Leeds and York.

“Markington is close to the historic Fountains Abbey World Heritage Site and is a characterful village with its own cricket club. New homes in this location should prove popular with families.”
