Motorists warned of ‘essential’ district road resurfacing

Motorists have been told to expect a programme of road resurfacing work, which is planned for a number of Bradford district roads this September.

This includes the B6142 Bridgehouse Lane and Station Road Haworth between Belle Isle Road and Brow Road and 50m either side of the pedestrian crossing at Haworth Station. Works at these locations take place from 24 to 27 September, with road closures between 9am and 3pm on 24 and 27 September.

There will also be work at Kingsway, Bingley, between Ferncliffe Road and Broadway, and on Mornington Road, Bingley, 60m north of Ferncliffe Road to Ferncliffe Road. The road will close between 7am and 7pm, 25 to 27 September and 30 September to 1 October.

And Crag Road, Shipley, between Briggate and Fair Bank will be shut from 9am to 3pm on 27 September and 30 September to 3 October.

Information about these works will be fully signed and diversions will be in place.

A Bradford Council spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. The works are essential and will improve the road surface.”
