Traffic Alert: A19 closed northbound following collision

The A19 is closed northbound from its junction with the A172 (Ingleby Arncliffe) to the A67 (Crathorne) due to a traffic collision.

Cleveland Police are on scene carrying out investigation work, and the closure is expected to remain in place through morning peak.

For traffic approaching the closure locally, drivers are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and may potentially have to re-route their journey.

If travelling towards this area from further afield, they may wish to change their strategic route, allow extra travel time and follow guidance from on-road Variable Message Signs and media.

Traffic is being diverted via the Solid (Black) Triangle symbol:

– Exit the A19 join the A172 via the link road.
– Continue for approx. 11 miles to the A174 (Marton-In-Cleveland) junction.
– Turn left onto the A174.
– Continue for approximately three miles, to the A19 (Parkway) interchange.
– Take the third exit and rejoin the A19 northbound.
