Weekender: Food offering ‘refined’ at city centre hotel restaurant

Dakota Leeds’ new executive head chef, Craig Rogan, has unleashed his culinary skills and love for fresh local produce on the hotel’s newly released menu at Dakota Grill.
The latest menu features mouth-watering comfort food favourites and experimental flavour combinations. Using fine British produce and fresh seasonal ingredients, dishes include; Cod Brandade with Yorkshire Chorizo and Salt Baked Kohlrabi with Lincolnshire Poachers for starters, Grilled Seabass, Glazed Ox Cheek and Roasted Hake for mains, followed by a tempting assortment of desserts.
Succulent steaks are also on offer. Using prime cuts sourced from traditionally reared, grass-fed cattle, the steaks are lightly seasoned and flash-grilled on hot coals.
Rogan said: “I am delighted to reveal a menu that captures the luxury essence of Dakota while capitalising on our wonderful local heritage. I wanted to refine the food offering at The Grill while focusing on British produce and use these ingredients in innovative ways to create dishes that stand out and lead the restaurant to even greater culinary heights.
“The menu itself is centred around flavour, seasonality and freshness – and by only using a handful of ingredients for each dish, including a few brand-new additions, I have ensured the food contains character while maintaining that opulent Dakota feel.”
The Grill at Dakota Leeds offers high quality food and drink within elegant surroundings. The à la carte menu is open to both visitors and hotel guests, Monday – Sunday noon to 2.30pm and 6pm to 10.30pm.
