Specialist automotive dealership takes on franchise to sell quad bikes and jet ski craft
Specialist automotive dealership LR Motors, part of the Twisted Automotive group, has become the only outlet in Yorkshire with a franchise to sell CAN-AM off-road vehicles and Sea-Doo watercraft.
Thirsk-based LR has already sold its first vehicle since acquiring the franchise – and is planning to showcase the range at a special event next month. The LR Motors Day Out takes place on November 2nd and will see Defender owners taking part offered the chance to try out vehicles from the CAN-AM range.
These include the all-terrain Maverick X RC Turbo RR, while other options include the Outlander quad bikes, the Traxtor and the CAN-AM DS 90. Sea-Doo models stocked at the Thirsk base include the 2019 GTX Limited 300 watercraft, as well as the new three-berth 2019 GTI SE 155.
The company has recently taken on SUV and All Terrain Vehicles specialist David Long to oversee this side of the business.
General manager Ross Munro said offering the vehicles alongside the company’s Defender range was a natural progression. He said customers looking to purchase a Defender were potentially also in the market for a quad bike or, in the case of those buying for leisure pursuits, a Sea-Doo watercraft.
He added: “What we currently do goes hand in hand with this new offering – which is illustrated by the amount of interest the new range has created. Our mission is to build on what we already offer and to make it the best it possibly can be, with the renowned LR Motors customer service ethos.
“Like the Defender, CAN-AM vehicles are made to last and can be relied upon across any terrain – that’s what makes the two sides of the business excellent partners.
“Taking on the Sea-Doo range outlines our desire to be the most recognised outdoor vehicle supplier in the North.”
LR Motors was established in October 2015 and is based at Sussex Court, Thirsk, alongside the Twisted Automotive HQ and workshop. LR offers pre-owned Land Rover Defender vehicles for sale, along with Defender accessories.
