Facility services company cleans up with new law firm contract

Huddersfield facility services firm Core has expanded after signing a deal with law firm Chadwick Lawrence to manage commercial cleaning at its Wakefield and Huddersfield offices.

The deal has increased Core Facility Services’s contracted cleaning by an extra 70 hours a week and the business has taken on nine extra staff. These staff will work as part of the Core cleaning and maintenance team across a range of local sites, including Chadwick Lawrence.

Colette Watts, of Core, said: “We have a longstanding relationship with Chadwick Lawrence as their waste management provider and we are pleased to have been able to extend our partnership with them to provide a fully managed professional cleaning service.

“Our goal has been to optimise the cleaning service so it works more efficiently, reducing the number of hours required while delivering higher standards through careful planning and proactive management.”

She added that Core was continuing to expand its in-house cleaning and maintenance teams in response to demand from local businesses for estates management services.

Clients include Overgate Hospice and its shops, Huddersfield engineering firm Westin and Henderson Properties. Core also provides domestic cleaning services.

Danielle Hesletine, of Chadwick Lawrence, said: “The transition from our previous provider to Core has been seamless and there has been a tangible improvement in standards and consistency which was immediately noticeable.

“We have grown our partnership with Core in a number of areas and we value the reliability and dependability which they give to us.”
