Former North Yorkshire pub restaurant sold as part of administration disposal

The sale of The Cross Keys, a former pub restaurant with accommodation in Skipton, has been completed.

The Cross Keys is in a prominent location in the town centre. It is spread over 0.65 acres and features a restaurant and accommodation rooms, all sold as part of an administration disposal. The property was purchased by local business operator, Robert Watson who operates Peter Watson Car Garage, another local business opposite the site.

The site also has two car parks located at the front and rear, with space for 45 cars, providing opportunities for alternative developments. Watson said he initially plans to use the site for further car storage and office space development.

The sale was arranged by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co. Sam Ashton, business agent at Christie & Co who handled the sale, said: “I was confident the property would generate high interest in such an affluent town of North Yorkshire.

“Sitting on a generous site size, the property has the potential for many uses, and it proved to attract good interest from prospective purchasers in a short space of marketing time. I wish Robert all the best with the property and site.”
