Construction business expands across the Pennines
A growing Yorkshire construction company has opened a Manchester office during a record year for the business which has seen a 125% order book increase to more than £25m.
Leeds-based Castlehouse Construction, which has just celebrated its 10th anniversary, has established a base at 82 King Street in Manchester city centre. This follows a sustained period of growth for the business with projected turnover for the next financial year to hit £30m. Back in 2011/12 the business had a turnover of £195,000.
Castlehouse Construction works within all sectors of the market including industrial, commercial, healthcare, education and residential. It currently has eight live projects on site across the UK.
The company, which employs more than 30 staff from its Leeds headquarters, was formed in 2009 by directors Richard Lumley and Frank Kofler who combined their extensive experience of working for and founding major companies in the Yorkshire region for more than 40 years.
Castlehouse already has a wealth of North West projects under its belt including a range of new builds for leading national retailer Lidl, with whom it has a national framework in place, in Rochdale, Bury, Stockport and Blackpool.
The firm has also undertaken projects for Aldi, Netto and Iceland across the North West and has recently been instructed on a 28-bed conversion project on behalf of Exemplar Healthcare in Liverpool.
The Manchester office will enable Castlehouse to service its growing North West client base, expanding development pipeline and to target new markets.

“The business has enjoyed continued growth over the last decade despite a challenging market and with £25m worth of instructions on the books, we are set for another record year.”
