Award-winning gin pops up at the White Rose Centre

The Haworth Steam Brewery has opened a special Christmas pop up shop at Debenhams in the White Rose Centre, Leeds.
The shop, featuring all of HSB’s gins and tonics, is open every day – including Sundays – until Christmas Day.
It is being run by Kelly Gascoigne, daughter of Andy Gascoigne, HSB’s founder and ex-Yorkshire Rugby League star.
Kelly Gascoigne explained the link-up with Debenhams, saying: “I was at a promotional event for our gins in London and was approached by a Debenhams’ representative who loved our stall. She suggested we set up something similar in the White Rose centre – and here we are.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase our very special gins, tonics and mixers. The footfall is pretty impressive – and the store will get busier and busier as Christmas approaches.”
In the recent prestigious Taste Awards, Haworth Gins and Gascoigne’s Tonics and Mixers were major winners. The coveted two stars were awarded to Gascoigne’s Red Gooseberry Tonic and Gascoigne’s Sour Bramley Apple Mixer; while the one stars were given to Gascoigne’s Blackcurrant and Liquorice Mixer; Gascoigne’s Orange and Grapefruit Tonic; Gascoigne’s Pomegranate Tonic; and Miss Mollie’s Liquorice Blackjack Gin.
“We’ve got them all here,” said Kelly. “We are very proud, not just of these awards, but also of our colourful branding, which has already sparked a good deal of interest at our Pop up.
“We have a special First Aid Kit, containing a small bottle of gin and two tonics, and an attractive carrier for our tonics and mixers. These are proving very popular.
“There’s are a real Christmas atmosphere here at Debenhams now and we are absolutely delighted to be part of it. Customers are talking about how gin is a crucial part of the festive season – and we couldn’t agree more.”
