National restaurant brand launches its newest branch

A fast casual dining brand is to launch a store in Bradford creating over 20 jobs.

Oodles Chinese, which already has 12 branches across the UK, will officially open its doors on Leeds Road on Friday December 20 with a launch party.

The restaurant serves Indo-Chinese food. Dishes include Malaysian chicken, chilli chicken, Chinese lamb curry, chilli prawns, caramel chicken, teriyaki chicken, szechwan beef stir fry and crispy prawns. Side options include veg spring rolls, Chinese wok wings and Torpedo prawns. It is certified Halal with dedicated vegetarian options.

The 60-seat restaurant boasts an open-plan kitchen with live cooking so diners will be able to see their food being prepared.

The opening is part of an ambitious growth strategy for the brand targeting 10 more openings by 2020 creating over 200 new jobs. In 2019 it has opened eight stores across the UK including franchisees in London, Blackburn, Bolton and Coventry.

Khuram Akhtar and Ismail Ali, who have taken the latest franchise, said they were delighted to finally open in Bradford. It is their second store in Yorkshire after bringing the brand to Leeds for their first branch in The Merrion Centre in August this year.

Akhtar said: “We are very excited to bring our second Oodles Chinese store to Yorkshire following our successful first store in Leeds in August.

“There’s been a real buzz around the Bradford store opening and we’re really looking forward to finally serving our Bradford customers.

“We believe Leeds Road is the perfect location for us, especially with the footfall and the other businesses in the area. Our concept of fresh and unique tasting Indo-Chinese food is something Bradford has never experienced before.

“We have invested in creating a real experience in this store with over 60 seats and a full fit out which includes an open kitchen area where customers can see their food being freshly prepared.”
