Manufacturer sees export fuel growth

A UK based specialist coatings manufacturer, Resimac, has seen its turnover increase by 15%.

The firm, which exports its industry-leading products to more than 50 countries worldwide, has also seen its customer base increase by almost a fifth.

Started by Matthew McDonnell in 2009, the last ten years has seen the research and development-led company become a market leader specialising in solvent free coatings and repair materials across multiple sectors.

Between them, the Resimac team has more than 300 years’ collective technical expertise and a heritage enabling it to provide a wide range of products to multiple sectors, including marine & offshore, oil & gas, building, chemical and petro-chemical.

The last 12 months has seen the firm concentrate its efforts on sales growth in China and Central and South America – which are the biggest markets now outside of the UK.

Mr McDonnell said: “This is our tenth year in business, and I’m delighted to say it’s been our best to date. We have grown the home team from eight to 12 and, thanks to them and our industry-leading products, we have seen a healthy rise in turnover.

“Twelve months ago, we were exporting our specialist coatings to 35 countries, now its 50 plus with more on the horizon. We have also grown our customer base by 20% and customer retention is at an incredibly pleasing 100 per cent.

“We are developing new markets as well as new products, both of which are proving very exciting prospects for the Resimac team.”
