Upgraded industrial building is back on the market

A 37,555 sq ft industrial unit has been relaunched following an extensive refurbishment.

Acting on behalf of global real estate investment managers St Bride’s Managers, the Industrial team at CBRE in Leeds, alongside joint agents Carter Towler, have re-launched Unit 1, Speedwell Road. The warehouse is located within the M62 corridor in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

The detached industrial building has recently undergone a comprehensive revamp to offer contemporary warehouse space.

It comprises two storey ancillary office accommodation which has been subdivided to create canteen and welfare facilities as well as open plan and private offices. Additional features include a large secure loading yard, a mezzanine in the warehouse extending to 4,647 sq ft and separate car parking provision.

The property is off Whitwood Common Lane, about 0.5 miles north east of J31 of the M62 motorway next to Wakefield Europort.

Sophie Angus, senior surveyor at CBRE Leeds, said: “We are delighted to be marketing Unit 1 Speedwell Road at a time when there continues to be very limited, good quality industrial space in the M62 corridor and across the region.

“The unit has already attracted a high level of interest and we anticipate this will increase following its refurbishment.”

Struan White, surveyor at St Bride’s Managers, said: “We are very pleased with the work carried out by contractors Lodestone Projects and the management of the process from surveyors Trident Building Consultancy.

“The newly renovated, modern warehouse will address the lack of industrial space in the M62 corridor with demand currently outstripping supply.”
