Contractors win places on framework

MORE than 20 local and national contractors have clinched places on the £129m YORcivils framework.
The framework covers civil engineering work across North Yorkshire and the Humber estuary and will run for four years with the option of a two-year extension.
Half a dozen firms have secured places on the biggest lot which covers projects valued at more than £1m.
They include Jackson, Kier, Interserve and C Spencer alongside smaller local firms Lumsden & Caroll and PBS (North East).
The highest ranked of these will secure the £12m A164 Humber Bridge to Beverley Route Improvement scheme awarded to the best ranked contractor.
