Deal completed to sell off dental practice

A dental practice in Dore, South Yorkshire, has been sold.

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, which managed the sale of Dore Dental Care, says the mixed practice occupies a large property with potential for private growth.

Dore Dental Care was sold off an asking price of £800,000, plus the freehold interest.

The business has been established for over 40 years and was acquired in partnership by Dr Jon Meyer in 2000, before he became sole Principal in 2011.

The practice has been purchased by Dr Sanraj Dulay, a first-time buyer from the Midlands, who will look to grow the business by refitting its third surgery and will expand the current offering of private treatments.

Dr Meyer is looking to remain at the practice for a minimum of three years, providing a transition for the new owners.

Jonathan Watson, director at Christie & Co, handled the sale. He said: “It was a real pleasure to deal with both Jon and Sanraj who were collaborative and extremely positive from start to finish.

“Dore Dental Care is a reputable practice with huge private potential due to the exceptional affluent location.”

Anna Cattee, Partner at Ironmonger Curtis, acted for the seller. She said: “It was great to work with Jon Meyer to conclude the sale of his practice, which as far as sales go, was a pretty smooth ride.

“We wish him all the best as he continues as an Associate with the practice.”

Dr Meyer said: “Having owned the practice for 20 years the thought of selling was daunting, but I must admit the process hasn’t been too stressful at all.

“There have been a few minor hiccups, but Jonathan and my legal team were able to quickly resolve them.”
