‘Perfect buyer’ found for town’s dental practice

A dental practice in North Yorkshire has been sold for an undisclosed sum.

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, confirmed the sale of Skelton Dental Practice in Skelton-in-Cleveland.

It is an established NHS practice in a terraced property on the town’s High Street. The practice has been owned and run by the Principal, Julie Elston, for over 30 years. Elston decided to sell in order to pursue retirement.

The practice has been bought by Dr Shahid Mansoor, a first-time buyer from the North East.

Dr Mansoor said he would be focusing on developing the range of private treatments available, which will include services such as conventional and Invisalign orthodontics.

Paul Graham, head of dental at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, said: “It was a priority for the owner to find a suitable buyer who would be able to successfully uphold the reputation and growth of the practice.

“This was a long-awaited sale for the owner, but the main thing is a perfect buyer was found, making it even more satisfying when a deal can be brokered which suits all parties.

“Despite the current climate, we have successfully completed on several NHS dental practices, it’s great to add another one to the list.”
