Distillery secures listing with supermarket giant

A North Yorkshire gin distillery, founded in 2013, is celebrating securing a listing with Tesco.

Shoppers in Tesco will be able to buy Masons Original and Masons Tea Edition gin from 37 of the supermarket’s stores in the county from 25 May.

A spokesman for Masons, which is based in Leeming Bar, said: “Tesco’s dedication to supporting regional brands has seen many well-known names added to their range reviews, and Masons has been no exception.

“Launched by co-founders, and husband and wife, Karl and Cathy Mason, Masons was started with the aim of creating a range of premium gins made with dedication and without compromise.

“Following the launch of The Original Yorkshire Dry Gin in 2013, Masons set about introducing additional flavours to the range using inspiration from their home county.

“In 2015, Tea Edition was born – this recipe uses Yorkshire Tea for a dry, refreshing and crisp tasting gin.

“Since 2013, Masons has won over 75 awards, being recognised nationally and globally from some of the highest-regarded spirits bodies.”
