New occupier confirmed for warehouse property

A 25,450 sq ft warehouse in Castleford has been let to insulation and drylinging distributor, Markovitz.

CBRE’s industrial team in Leeds secured the deal for this property during lockdown.

Acting for Leeds-based property company Pullans, the team completed the letting of the warehouse which is at Unit 2, Freeway Park in Castleford. The unit was previously occupied by Debenhams.

Markovitz, a family-run business which started in 1935 and now employs more than 250 staff, has leased the modern warehouse unit on a five-year term.

The unit adds to the company’s expanding group of depots serving customers across Yorkshire, the North West and the Midlands.

The warehouse includes ground floor office space, a secure service yard, three ground floor loading doors and separate staff car parking provision.

“The unit was let immediately following the vacation of the previous tenant, limiting any void period for our client and shows the strength and resilience of the industrial sector.

“The mid box industrial market remains positive across the region with a good level of activity in the face of challenging times.”
