Phased office return for property business

Global property company CBRE has re-opened its Leeds office, with employees returning in a phased approach and in accordance with Government guidance.

The Leeds office will also follow CBRE’s own internal guidelines for office re-opening.

These include adapting space to ensure social distancing, while ensuring cleaning and hygiene protocols are adhered to.

CBRE says its programme to bring employees back to the office is based on factors such as people’s work-from-home options, commuting issues and special consideration for any employees who may be more at-risk.

Richard Bamford, managing director of the Leeds office, said: “The CBRE Leeds team has worked incredibly well over the last three months, finding innovative and new ways of working and adapting quickly to continue to support and advise our clients through this very difficult time.

“Using our leading technology we have stayed very well connected as a team and have strengthened our capabilities with the addition of three new staff during the lockdown period.

“I am extremely pleased to now be welcoming staff back to what is a refreshed and safe office environment following some refurbishment and refit work by our GWS principle contracting team which commenced before the lock down.

“The GWS team overcame many challenges to deliver an exceptionally high-quality product with minimal delay and within budget.

“We are looking forward to viewings and inspections taking place as we start to see Government restrictions eased and businesses coming back to a more normal state of operation.”
