Owen Black, senior building surveyor, has joined Bowman Riley’s team to boost the company’s building consultancy team.

Based in the Leeds office, Black is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over six years of commercial surveying experience.

Formerly at Bradley Mason in Harrogate, Black provided strategic property advice providing advice across all stages of a property’s lifecycle for well-known brands including Currys PC World, Dunelm, EE, TK Maxx and Toolstation.

At Bowman Riley, he is working for York College, the University of Bradford and The Co-op under existing framework agreements in addition to supporting a wide range of clients.

Delivering advice to building owners and occupiers, he has a wide range of building surveying expertise including design and specification, project management, contract administration, cost consultancy, principal designer services and dilapidations instructions.

Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has appointed Andrew Brook as associate director on its Valuation team in Leeds.

He joins from Ryden’s Leeds office where he worked for over 10 years, latterly in the role of head of valuation.

He has also held positions at JD Sports Fashion plc, managing the service charge liabilities on over 350 retail properties, and Jarvis Accommodation Services where he was responsible for the management of Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council’s property portfolio.

Bringing more than 15 years of real estate experience, Brook joins LSH’s established Valuation team, which comprises 105 registered valuers across the UK and Ireland who provide commercial, healthcare, residential and development valuation advice across all asset classes.

Leeds headquartered UK Coaching has confirmed Kristal Ireland has been appointed as its digital director.

Ireland is a well-known digital industry figure, who has worked across brands such as Virgin, Npower, The National Trust, The NHS and Welcome to Yorkshire.

She said: “I am thrilled to be joining the organisation at such an important time. The team have worked extremely hard to continue and facilitate online learning during COVID-19 and have shown exceptional levels of resilience and tenacity.

“I am looking forward to working with them all and developing our range of online learning, community and training that supports over three million coaches UK wide.”

 HRM, the full-service Sheffield agency, has expanded its team with the appointment of Beth Richardson as account executive following recent client wins.

Richardson joins the company from the University of Leeds, where she is currently studying a degree in BA Management and Marketing and will be returning to her studies in September 2021.

Having previously undertaken a programme of work experience with HRM, she returns as an account executive where she will be working across a range of property clients including Sheffield and Chesterfield Estate Agents, Redbrik.

She explained: “When searching for a year in industry, I found the familiar faces at HRM the perfect fit to grow my experience and knowledge of the PR sector.

“It is so lovely to be back with the HRM team and I am grateful for this opportunity to enhance my studies further.”
