Quarter of a million pound expansion for recruitment specialists

Recruitment, logistics and healthcare specialist company Sure Group has invested £250,000 in new facilities in Leeds as it expands its services along the M62 corridor.
The new base, located at Howley Park Business Village in Leeds will be home to the Hull-headquartered firm’s staffing, logistics, commercial and healthcare divisions and will expand operations across its other existing offices in Manchester, Northampton and Wakefield.
The move provides further state-of-the-art facilities for staff, including a new training space and areas for recruitment inductions and follows Sure Healthcare’s continued growth following several notable contract wins. The new site will also further support Sure Logistics’ operations by providing excellent links to the M62 corridor.
The move will also created several new roles in the company, which already employs more than 300 people across the UK.
Charles Draper, founder and managing director of Sure Group, said, “The opening of the Leeds office is the next exciting chapter in our story.
“From being set up in East Yorkshire just over five years ago, we’ve achieved year-on-year growth and more than doubled the turnover from £1.2m in 2015 to £10m today.
Draper added that the quarter of a million-pound investment was “an expensive and ambitious move”, but one that he and the business consider “essential in realising our ambition to become one of the country’s leading recruitment, logistics and healthcare service businesses”.
Draper originally looked to set up a businesses to earn money during his university studies, but it has since grown into a leading recruitment specialist with a multi-million-pound annual turnover.
He added that although the business has grown from simply offering logistics recruitment to also look at opportunities in other sectors from industrial and manufacturing, to accountancy and business support, this new site will have a specific focus on its healthcare business.
“The opening of our Leeds base is a specific focus for our healthcare division to strengthen its outreach in local communities where we will provide the highest standards of homecare support for the vulnerable or less able.”
Draper concluded that despite a turbulent period due to Covid-19, he believes, “It’s an exciting time” for the business.
Adding, “Sure Group is going from strength to strength and I can’t see that changing any time soon.”
