A game of two halves
The last 12 months has been a turbulent year for sport in Yorkshire. From the jubilant celebrations of Leeds United returning to top flight football, to Yorkshire Cricket reporting record profits for 2019.
But as seasons begin and end, how are businesses adapting to a new normal with Covid-19?
In the latest webinar by TheBusinessDesk.com in partnership with Front Row legal an expert panel, including Leeds United FC’s director of football Victor Orta and Mark Arthur, CEO of Yorkshire County Cricket Club, will look at the impact lockdown has had on sport, what clubs, tournaments and associated businesses are doing to tackle these unprecedented times. The session will also look ahead to next year and what 2021 could have in store for the region’s clubs and venues.
Other panellists including Jon Dutton, CEO of the Rugby League World Cup; Gerry Sutcliffe, former minister for sport and tourism and the current chair of both the National Racing College Doncaster and Keighley Cougars foundation, and Dr Ingrid Griffiths, head of sport management. Carnegie School of Sport, will join Richard Cramer from Front Row Legal to consider the challenges at all levels of sport but also offer a look at how sport can help the economic and social challenges which the country is facing.
