Tile supplier’s rapid expansion prompts relocation

Tile distributor, Verona, is set to relocate its distribution centre to Doncaster in the coming months, bringing a range of full time jobs to the area.

The company, which specialises in supplying ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles to national and independent retailers from its head office in Leeds, has signed a new lease deal on a state of the art warehouse facility in Thorne.

It will support the business in distributing stock to customers throughout the UK.

Plans are also in place for the new centre to hold stock and provide distribution services for national tile retailer, Tile Giant, which has 82 retail stores nationwide.

Verona has enjoyed a period of rapid growth over the last five years, outgrowing its current warehouse space.

At 106,000 square feet, the brand new distribution centre will provide the business with a long-term solution with room for further growth.

The company will begin a phased transition to the new site over the coming months, with the centre expected to be fully operational by January 2021.
