Strong demand at recently finished seaside residential scheme

A new housing development, close to the centre of the historic town of Whitby, is now 75% sold.

Constructed by Caedmon Homes, Spa Well Court, off Broomfield Terrace, comprises 10 apartments and 10 town houses. It was only completed last month.

The apartments were priced from £180,000, with the town houses starting from £310,000. Three quarters of the development has either been reserved or sold off-plan, with five three-bed town houses remaining.

These five houses on the three-acre terraced site are now ready for occupation with a showroom open every weekend and by appointment. Whitby estate agents Hendersons are marketing the development.

Nick Henderson, of Hendersons, said: “Following the news that the Spa Well Court development had been completed and was ready for immediate occupation, we have had a sudden raft of sales.

“It is clear that Spa Well Court has come to market at the right time, especially in light of the recent cut in Stamp Duty.

“The fact that 75% of Spa Well Court has been sold is a resounding endorsement of the development.”

Paul Brown, director of Caedmon Homes, added: “We are delighted to be working with such a respected local estate agent as Nick Henderson of Hendersons.

“The company has an excellent reputation in the Whitby area and beyond and have marketed Spa Well Court effectively and successfully.”
