Digital marketing firm secures six-figure investment from new chairman

Rob Hamilton

Digital marketing provider, Modo25, has received a six-figure investment from its new chairman – Rob Hamilton.

The Leeds-based company, which was founded by CEO John Readman, has ambitious growth plans for 2021. At the start of this year, it was revealed that Modo25 had also been successful in securing a competitive six-figure Government investment for its paid media analytics platform, BOSCO™.

As a result of Hamilton’s investment, the business can begin a recruitment drive to fill a number of digital roles.

Hamilton is an Internet entrepreneur who scaled the global online property search company, Instant Offices.

Commenting on his investment, he said: “John and I have known each other for some years now. We co-founded our cycling charity business, Ride25, over seven years ago. Since then, we’ve raised over a million pounds for the charity 1moreChild.

“I wanted to become an investor and chairman of Modo25 because I am truly committed to the future of the company.

“In-housing is something I strongly believe in. I think it’s wrong to let a key thing like marketing be outsourced when you can build these skills with an in-house team.

“Fundamentally, businesses should be able to take control of their digital spend and Modo25 is helping companies to do that.

“I’m also excited about the potential growth of Modo25’s digital marketing prediction and indexing platform, BOSCO™, which has a promising future.”

Modo25’s chief operations officer, Abi Liddle, added: “We are incredibly proud to be announcing Rob as a chairman.

“His investment in the company is a testament to all of the hard work our team has been doing over the past 19 months since the company launched.

“We plan to begin our intensive recruitment drive to expand our performance marketing, data science, SEO and PR teams.”
