The renaissance of towns

2020 was a year that will live long in the memory, a year which promised so much and ended in local and national lockdowns delivering seismic changes to businesses, not least in the way people work.

Now, the latest webinar from TheBusinessDesk.com in partnership with Bevan Brittan on 24 June, will explore what opportunities will arise from the new “hybrid” working patterns that have emerged from the pandemic.

The session will see an expert panel including Nicky Chance Thompson DL, CEO of the Piece Hall in Halifax consider how towns can be revitalised through their buildings and how Covid-19 can be the catalyst to inspire reinvention and future growth.

Alongside Chance Thompson will be Andrew Brady, chief executive of Neighbourhood by Capital and Centric, a development in Rochdale which is looking to redevelop the former Central Retail Park site into a thriving new community of over 230 homes and capitalise on the opportunity to reinvent town centres.

Chance Thompson and Brady will also be joined on the panel by Lyndon Campbell and Dalee Jaur, both partners at Bevan Brittan.

The session will also consider what local authorities are doing to bring people back to their streets, and discuss how businesses, developers and planners can come together to rethink and reshape the high street.
