Interior products manufacturer seeks room to grow with move to bigger base

Green & Brown, a manufacturer of home and commercial interior products, will move its production facilities from Grange Moor to nearby Cooper Bridge, Huddersfield, bringing new jobs to the area.

The move will see the company’s production space double in size to meet the greatly increased number of orders the business now receives following 10 years of continued growth.

Moreover, the expansion is expected to create future jobs in the manufacturing and administration teams as the company grows and fills the site.

Once in its new facility, Green & Brown says it will be well placed for its production facilities to easily manage forecasted growth.

Job Brown, operations director, said: “We are extremely excited to be moving to new, larger premises in Huddersfield.

“Since before the pandemic, and throughout the difficulties of the past 18 months, our dedicated teams have continued to excel to the point where we have rapidly outgrown our current facility.

“With such a massive increase in demand for high quality home furnishings made in the UK, now was the perfect time to make the move.

“Huddersfield has a rich history in textiles and fabric, and we’re proud to combine our modern approach to manufacturing excellent home furnishings with the rich heritage of the town.”

The company’s new facility will be located in one of the premises formerly occupied by Mamas and Papas, just off the A62 Leeds Road.
