Plans approved for 150,000 sq ft mixed use development

Planning permission has been granted for a sustainable rural business community at the Anley Crag Business Park in Settle which will bring employment opportunities to the area and allow new and local business to grow and expand.
Phase one of the 150,000 sq. ft. mixed use development by Skipton-based property developer Candelisa for the site looks to create a sustainable business community, in a beautiful setting.
With over 35 office and commercial units of all types available to rent or buy and ranging in size from 500 sq. ft. to 6,000 sq. ft the site aso features approximately 220 parking spaces set in carefully landscaped wildlife habitats.
Guy Taylor, Candelisa managing director, said: “This is a real boost for the area and the local economy. The employment opportunities the scheme will bring should encourage businesses to remain in the community and talented professionals to set up business in this amazing location and help retain the vibrancy of the area and Yorkshire Dales National Park.
“We very much look forward to starting the scheme in the near future and working with local businesses to help bring our exciting vision to fruition.”
The developer is also planning a second phase for the area which will include 41, two and three bedroom affordable housing and will form form part of the overall Anley Crag scheme.
Taylor added: “The residential element will help address the chronic shortage of quality housing in the area and we hope our proposals will be looked upon favourably as we finalise the detailed housing design.”
The developer is currently also delivering 45 new houses in Embsay village and has reported strong off-plan sales at its Cavendish House development in the centre of Skipton, where the former job centre and tax office is being converted into apartments.
